1. On the photo one can see professor N. E. Alyoshin with the bishop I. N. Chekhunov. The explanations read further.

2. Ivan Nikolaevich Chekhunov in the last years of the USSR established the independent Evangelical union in Sochi. It contains now six congregations, including one in the very center of Sochi and one in Krasnaya Polyana (the place of the Winter Olympics of 2014).

3. Later I. N. Chekhunov bought some immovable in Abkhazia and established (in partnership with Rehzo Katsiya – the Republic of Abkhazia minister for religious affairs) the union of the Evangelical Christians of Abkhazia. That union contains also six congregations (including the ones in Sukhum and Gagry).

4. Chekhunov supports in Sochi and Abkhazia the activity of Mission in Russia of the American Rehabilitation Ministry and Bible Academy (www.ARM.org).
