1. Some inhabitants of Pike county of Missouri state possessed the prophetic gift. After Tom Sawyer had witnessed in the court of justice against “injun Joe”, they prophesied about Tom Sawyer: “There were some that believed he would be President, yet, if he escaped hanging” (“The Adventures of Tom Sawyer”, XXV). This prophecy was realized in 2016. The explanations read further.

2. In 2016 Tom Sawyer – I mean Donald Trump – was elected the President of the United States of America. He happily had avoided hanging. And the stupor, produced by his election, was like the stupor, produced by the “dead pirates” (Tom Sawyer – Joe Harper – Huck Finn), when they appeared on their own funeral church service.

3. The plans of the President Elect Donald Trump look like the plans of Tom Sawyer to steal and to liberate negro Jim from the slavery of the farmer-preacher uncle Silas Phelps and aunt Sally, while Jim has been legally liberated with the will of his owner.

4. Slightly paraphrasing the famous Hemingway’s thought, we may say: “All modern America has come out from one book of Mark Twain, which is called “Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn”.

5. It will be very interesting to follow the further development of Tom Sawyer (Donald Trump) presidency.
