WONDERFUL LETTER OF ZIDEN NUTT
Dear Esteemed Brother in Christ,
Greetings in the precious name of our Great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ. It
is with praise to God for you that I send this greeting in the name of our
Lord. Fond memories of being in your presence at the Rice Institute in
September of 1993 flow over me as I recall our discussions. It was one of the
most uplifting times I have had in my 82 years of living. Thank you again for
your extremely gracious acceptance of Dale Buehring and me, and for giving us
the time you did in discussions.
It has been with deep appreciation that I continue to reflect on your
research in the biological role of silicon in nucleic acid as it relates to
the origin of life. I shall never forget how that coincided with my own
journey in the role of archaeology and it's significance in confirming the
truthfulness of God's Word when I was searching for faith. All praise and
glory be to God for the irrefutable evidence of His Holy Word. Your journey
of discovery has been a constant inspiration to me.
As I continue to read some of your marvelous insights in your blogs and
publications, I again give thanks to God for the honour of having met you.
Though Dale and I only met Nina briefly, we give thanks to God for her as
your life partner. I'm not sure if your anniversary is just coming up on the
11th of this month, or if the actually day of marriage was November 2, 1983.
Either way, I rejoice in your faithfulness. It seems impossible that you are
now grandparents, but time has moved on and God is good. If your anniversary
is on the 11th of this month, please accept my sincere congratulations. (I
saw that your marriage was given as 11/2/1983, but I am not sure if that is
how it is given in Europe or the USA with the month or day given first.)
It has come to my mind many times with prayer and petition, wondering how the
application for the Nobel Prize for you is progressing. Your life and works
are truly worthy of such recognition, and we trust that the application is
still under consideration. I've not heard anything from my support of the
nomination, but I pray your works will be recognized many ways.
May you be blessed in your continued chaplaincy work, as well as your
research and significant contributions to society. Please give my regards to
Nina and the brethren.
Because of God's amazing grace,
Ziden L. Nutt
