PEACEMAKING VIA REBRANDING

1. The
Alyoshin’s suggestion to make peace via rebranding of the Krasnodar Territory
has been adopted by the Krasnodar Civil Forum.
2. On
16.11.2013 the Civil Forum of Krasnodar (with the participance of the Krasnodar
Territory and Krasnodar city civil committees of the “Civil Platform” political
party; of the Krasnodar Territory Electoral Commission; of the “Voice”
organization – in Rus. “Golos”, it defends the electoral rights of the
citizens, it is supported with the “Moscow Helsinki Group”; of the “Public
Commission to watch the situation in prisons” and of the independent
intellectuals and human rights activists) was listening to the report of
professor N. E. Alyoshin (watch photo: isaurian.blogspot.com, 22.11.2013).
3. The
program “West Caucasus Modernization” was reported (watch:
isaurian.blogspot.com, 22.02.2012 – the text in Russian, which is followed with
full text in English). The axis of this program is the demand to rebrand the
Krasnodar Territory.
4. Today the
official brand (slogan, motto) of the Krasnodar Territory (Krasnodar Krai;
before 1917 – Kuban area – after the name of the main local river Kuban) is “Kuban
is the Cossack Territory” (in Rus.: “Kuban – Kazachiy Krai”).
It is
brutally discriminating and insulting 99,9 % of the Territory population (5,5
million), which includes non-Cossack Russians, Ukrainians, Armenians, Greeks,
Adygs, Jews, Germans, Turks, Kurds, etc., etc. The official brand is the source
of the endless interethnic and interconfessional conflicts. The official motto
is the threat of war for all the Caucasus.
5. The N. E.
Alyoshin’s program suggests to substitute the xenophobic official motto with
the peacemaking one, namely: “Kuban is the Caucasus true daughter, the pearl of
Russia”; in Rus.: “Kuban – Kavkaza istinnaya doch, zhemchuzhina Rossii”).
6. During the
forum discussion G. G. Davitlidze (Ph.D. in history, the full-right member of
the Krasnodar Territory Electoral Commission) declared: “To substitute the
xenophobic official slogan with the peacemaking motto, suggested by professor
Alyoshin, is the best public political initiative, which I have heard for the
last five years!”
N. S.
Bokancha (the Krasnodar city civil committee chairman, having the University
diplomas in theoretical physics and the orthodox theology) said: “The “West
Caucasus Modernization” program is the product of the genial mind”.
7. As the
result, the forum unanimously decided to adopt the program, to propagate and
spread widely the idea of the new motto for Krasnodar Territory, as the powerful
peacemaking act; to oblige the Krasnodar delegates to propose these suggestions
to the All-Russia Civil Forum (Moscow, 23.11.2013; more, than 1 000 human
rights and civil activists, supported by such known public figures, as Prokhorov,
Kudrin, Alexeeva, etc.).
8. The new
motto for Krasnodar Territory is the powerful instrument of peacemaking,
indeed.
We call all
the people of good will, seeking the peace on earth (Luke, 2:14): “Support the
substitution of the xenophobic Krasnodar Territory slogan with the peacemaking
motto! Rebrand the Kuban!”
