1. Prokhorov’s
decision to finance the International Library Conference in Crimea in June 2014
has produced a huge international scandal and a threat for Prokhorov himself to
become the object of the US economic sanctions.
2. The
Conference “Crimea 2014” is to take place in Sudak-town on 07 – 15 June 2014
with the participants from England and Greece. It is financed by the “Civil
Platform” party Foundation (which belongs to Prokhorov).
3. The
Ukraine Library Association has declared, that the Conference is the attempt to
legalize the readmission of Crimea into Russia. Association has suggested for
the global libraries community to boycott the conference.
4. Prokhorov
himself not to be the victim of the American sanctions (he has huge immovable
property and money in USA) has invented the “Asian trick”: he has declared, he
is now not the leader of the party. He has appointed his sister to be the
chairwoman of the “Federal Civil Committee” of the party (main creative body)
and his friend Shaikhutdinov to be the chairman of the party “Federal Political
Committee” (main political and administrative body). Thus, he, as if, has become
irresponsible for the actions in Crimea. But everyone understands: it is
Prokhorov, who finances all party actions. Even the Tatarian blood of
Shaikhutdinov would not protect Prokhorov from the negative opinion of the
Crimea Tatars Mejlis and from the Western sanctions.
5. So, I must
say: “Highly esteemed Michael Dmitrievich! If You want to work in Crimea, it is
better for You to support my peacemaking projects there.
First one is
the return to the Bakhchisaray Khan Palace its’ Library, which was confiscated
by communists, brought to Leningrad and is being kept there in the secret
store. The return will be the restoration of the violated rights of Qirimtatars
and saving of their heritage for the world science, culture and theology.
Second one is
the restoration of the German Lutheran Kirche in the center of Simferopol. It
will be the restoration of the violated rights of Crimea Germans and saving of
their heritage for the world science, culture and religion.”

Doctor Liza (Glinka - the Federal Civil Committee Member) tries to make Prokhorov pay for the creation of the "humanitarian corridors" in the border of the East Ukraine with Russia. The Ukraine authorities, on the contrary, try to close the border totally in order nothing could have penetrated from Russia.
