1. On the photo, done by G. Leiser, one can see N. E. Alyoshin, sitting at the table of Philipp Melanchthon in the “Melanchthon’s house” (Bretten, Baden, Germany) in January 2001. Further the circumstances are depicted.

2. The Leisers family members are the hereditary keepers of the Bretten Melanchthon’s house. The members of the family were the participants of the “confessing church” of Karl Barth and Dietrich Bonhoeffer and, thus, were persecuted during the nazi era. In XVI century one of the bearers of “Leiser” surname was the Saxony Prince Elector’s official supervisor of the first Gutenberg machine printed edition of the German Bible (translated by Luther and Melanchthon). Thus, “Leiser” surname is printed on the title page of that Bible volume. Pastor Gerhard Leiser – the member of CDU and the former leader of the CDU fraction in the Karlsruhe (Baden capital) city council, is one of the founders of the sistership between the cities of Karlsruhe and Krasnodar. Since 2001 he has become the elder brother and the spiritual confessor of N. E. Alyoshin.

3. In January 2001 N. E. Alyoshin was invited by G. Leiser (through pastor Gottfried Spieth, who that time had been working in Krasnodar, where from he was later deported) to Karlsruhe to be the speaker for the conference of the International Evangelical Alliance. Three bishops of the big Evangelical unions of Russia were also invited there. But they rejected the invitation. It was a period, when the dark forces were hunting the German-Swedish missionary Leo Martensson, preparing his future arrest and deportation, as well as the enforced “self-liquidation” of the Krasnodar branch of the German “Light in the East” missionary union (being its’ member, Leo was translating the Bible into the Adyg language). It was a thick atmosphere of spy-mania. The bishops were afraid of being named “the spies”, and decided not to accept the invitation. Such a situation is, indeed, described by the Lord Himself: “Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels” (Mark, 8:38).

4. Thus, N. E. Alyoshin appeared in Karlsruhe, where to fulfill the program, prepared for four guests, he had 18 speeches, sermons and homilies in 7 days in numerous Evangelish, Lutheran, Free Evangelical, Baptist congregations, in Y.M.C.A. and in “Albert-Schweitzer-Saal”. He also had the meetings in Karlsruhe city council, in CDU local branch, in the missionary department of the Evangelical Church in Baden and the one with the professors of the Karlsruhe Technical University.

5. N. E. Alyoshin was happy to visit the kept by Leisers Melanchthon’s Bretten house. It was, indeed, the true feeling of the enthusing with the Holy Spirit, when N. E. Alyoshin was sitting at the Melanchthon’s working table, where the great theologian had been working – “the chosen vessel of the Almighty God”, who had created “Loci Communi”, “Confessio Augustana”, the stipulation under the Articles of Schmalkalden, etc. These works are extremely actual namely today, especially for peacemaking (watch: “Peacemakers. 6. The enthusing action of the Holy Spirit continued on the closing day of the conference, when, during the general meeting, about 500 participants blessed N. E. Alyoshin to spread the ideals of the international Evangelical Alliance in Krasnodar, North Caucasus and Russia. The benison was led by pastor Gerhard Leiser.
