ALYOSHIN. ZORN. LICHT
IM OSTEN.
1. On the
photo professor N. E. Alyoshin can be seen with Waldemar Zorn – one of the
leaders of the German missionary union “Licht im Osten” (“Light in the East”,
LIO). The photo was done in 1999 by N. E. Alyoshin’s wife – Dr. Nina V.
Alyoshina – in the Alyoshins’ house in Krasnodar. Further the circumstances are
depicted.
2. LIO was
founded in 1915 specially to work with the Russian prisoners of war, captivated
by Germany. Its’ center is situated in “Saint” Korntal (near Stuttgart,
Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany). Today hundreds of the Evangelical pastors in Russia
and Ukraine are the descendants of those prisoners, converted by LIO and having
become the Evangelical ministers after WIW. LIO through Zorn worked in Russia
in three directions:
2.1. creation
of the LIO branch in Krasnodar;
2.2.
publishing the Bible and Biblical literature in Russian language;
2.3.
preaching Christ to the North Caucasian tribes (from Adygs in Adyg Republic and
Krasnodar Territory to Tabasarans in Dagestan).
3. W. Zorn
was the general editor of the Russia versions of the “New Geneva Study Bible”
(in English it was published in 1995 by the “Foundation for Reformation”, in
Russian LIO published it in 1998) and of the “Lexikon zur Bibel” (published in
German by “Brockhaus Verlag”, Wuppertal, Germany, in Russian – by LIO in 1999).
Zorn used to discuss with me the content, the process of publishing and
spreading of those books.
4. The main
LIO missionary to convert the Caucasians was Leo Martensson – a Swedish
philologist, married the German woman. He had a Lutheran background. Leo
studied the Adyg (Circassian) language in Israel, where LIO had the mission
branch and the partner congregation. Leo was translating the Bible into the
Adyg language. He used my encyclopedic monograph “The Land of Adygs” as a
handbook. After 10 years life in Krasnodar he was arrested and deported from
Russia.
5. Three
congregations of the Evangelical Christian Missionary Union (ECMU): “House of
the Gospel” – Krasnodar; “House of the Gospel” – village Dinskaya; “House of
the Gospel” – Komsomolskiy district of Krasnodar, - founded (as registered according to the
Russian law “centralized religious organization”) the Krasnodar “Svet na
Vostoke” mission, supported by LIO, which considered the Krasnodar mission, as
its’ Russian “daughter”. It worked with numerous North Caucasian congregations
of ECMU, of the “separated Baptists” (“Council of Churches”), of the Lutherans
and the messianic Jews (W. Zorn was ordained as the Baptist pastor, as well as
the messianic Jews rabbi). After Leo Martensson deportation the leading
brethren of the ECMU considered the cooperation with LIO to be unsecure and
began the process of the “self-liquidation” of the Krasnodar mission.
6. Against
this decision the representatives of the prominent Eropkins family raised their
voice. Their grand-grand-predecessor was mentioned in the diaries of the great
Russian writer, peacemaker and theologian Lev Tolstoy, as the known organizer
of the Evangelical communes in the North Caucasus, who had visited the writer
in his estate. One of the Eropkins was the Baptist bishop of the Krasnodar
Territory. A.N. Eropkin was the ECMU deacon, his son A. A. Eropkin married the
daughter of the ECMU President S. Borodin, then he became the ECMU President
instead of Borodin, then he was a missionary in Israel in the LIO partner
congregation. A. A. Eropkin was the person to meet me with his private car at
the gates of a prison on the day, when I was liberated.
7. A. N.
Eropkin declared, that there was the only way to save the Krasnodar LIO branch –
to elect N. E. Alyoshin to be its’ President. He officially suggested me to do
this. But that time the Lord hath anointed me (through my dearly beloved
brethren Charles Duke, Ziden Nutt, Max Goins, Joe Garman, Rod Farthing) to
execute the judgments of the Most High God (the son of man is to execute the
judgments of God – John, 5:27), as the chaplain of the mission in Russia of the
ARM (www.ARM.org). Therefore, I was to reject
the Eropkin’s proposal. No other bro was found in Krasnodar to accept the responsibility
for the Russia LIO branch and it was “self-liquidated”.
8. “To every
thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: … a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from
embracing”, - saith the Holy Spirit through the son of David (Ecclesiastes,
3:1, 5).
9. Peace unto
you! (John, 20:19)

Is it true, that Zorn and Martensson were obliged to cooperate with the German Evangelish-Lutheran congregation of Krasnodar, but did not want to do it?
ОтветитьУдалитьYes, it is. It was one of their fundamental errors. On the contrary, N. E. Alyoshin is actively cooperating with that congregation in the frame of the International Evangelical Alliance, being the advisor (kirchenrat) for the named congregation chairperson.
УдалитьThe “self-liquidation” of the Krasnodar LIO caused the “self-liquidation” of its’ two co-founding congregations: “House of the Gospel” of the village Dinskaya and “House of the Gospel” of the Komsomolskiy district of Krasnodar. Big congregational immovable in Dinskaya were sold for songs, and it stopped the project, which Zorn and LIO had planned for that village.
ОтветитьУдалитьECMU has stopped the cooperation with LIO and is now functioning, as the member of the World Commonwealth of the Christian and Missionary Alliance (CaMA, Colorado, USA – a specific separate denomination, registered in USA).
