JEFFERSON. VISION.
1. The 8-th

September 2014), painted by Natasha Koff. It symbolizes the prophetic vision of
the “fathers-founders” of the USA, the essence of which is expounded further.
2. Thomas
Jefferson was the 3-rd POTUS (office: 1801 – 1809). He was an Episcopalian. On
04 July 1776 he, as the representative of Virginia, signed “The Declaration of
Independence”, which contains the famous passage: “All Men are created equal,
that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable Rights, that
among these are Life, Liberty, and Pursuit to Happiness – That to secure these
Rights, Governments are instituted among Men”.
3. This is a
highly Biblical passage. Indeed, the Holy Spirit saith: “Stand fast therefore
in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free and be not entangled again
with the yoke of bondage” (Galatians, 5:1). Thus, liberty is the gift of
Christ. The same situation is with the faith itself: “Faith is the substance
(in Greek – “hypostasis”) of things hoped for” (Hebrews, 11:1). “Hypostasis”
means “coming down”, i.e. the faith is coming down from the God.
4. It is
confirmed once more in Ephesians, 2:8: “By grace are ye saved through faith;
and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God”. Thus, liberty (and all the
flowing out of it human rights) and faith are not the human acts, are not the
human inventions. They are the gifts of God! The same situation is with the
religion itself, which, according to the known determination, is the “self-consciousness
of the spirit”. Thus, the religion is also not the human act. It is the act of
the spirit, which is thinking itself inside the minds and souls of the human
beings.
5. The
Biblical vision of the human rights essence, used by Jefferson and his “Declaration
of Independence” co-authors, since 04 July 1776 until now has been
counteracting the Rousseau idea about the human rights to be the product of the
“Social Treaty”. That Rousseau idea is a pure evil. Indeed, with the “Social
Treaty” men may proclaim even the cannibalism to be the “human right”. E. g.,
Lenin wrote: “Morality (i.e. the human rights) has the class character.
Everything, which is useful for proletariat (i.e. to the communists) is moral”.
And Hitler thought, that morality had the race character, i.e. everything,
which was useful for the “highest race” was moral. Etc. Non-understanding of
this fact is the tragedy of many atheist or agnostic human rights activists and
peacemakers (especially in Russia).
6. Only the
Biblical vision, expressed by Jefferson and his co-authors, can counteract the
monstrous inventions of the human sinners of the current world. The human
rights are the constant gift of the God Almighty, perfectly and in the
wholeness depicted in the Bible. The fight of this constant against the sinful
regimes and governments is the essence of the world history. The realization of
this constant gift is the policy of the USA. And the policy of the USA, as said
POTUS Obama, is the only constant in the current changing world.

Sails behind the figure of the POTUS symbolize the US Navy, which was created with the order of Jefferson to defend the merchant ships in the Mediterranean, which were attacked by the Algeria pirates. In Jefferson time Algeria was a part of the Ottoman Empire, ruled by the bey, appointed by sultan (who had also the title of khalif). Thus, Jefferson was the 1-st POTUS to begin the military actions against khalifate.
